US company and Stripe for founders from Kazakhstan

Stripe doesn't work with Kazakhstan companies directly. The usual fix is a US company: an LLC or a Delaware C-Corp, an EIN, a US bank account and Stripe on top. We set up both sides, so revenue reaches your Kazakh company legally and on record.

In short

  • Stripe doesn't support Kazakhstan companies: the country isn't on its list of supported countries.
  • A Delaware LLC costs $110 to form, and its annual tax is $400 from 2026.
  • A single-member LLC with a foreign owner files Form 5472 with a pro forma 1120 by 15 April. Missing it costs $25,000.
  • US sanctions bar US providers from forming or servicing companies for people located in Russia. What counts is where you are, not your passport.

Common questions

Does Stripe work in Kazakhstan?

Not directly. Kazakhstan isn't among Stripe's supported countries, so a Kazakh LLP can't open an account. Founders usually take payments through a company in a supported country, most often the US.

Can a foreigner own an LLC in the USA?

Yes. A US LLC can be fully owned by a non-resident, and an EIN can be obtained without an SSN or ITIN. The exception is people located in Russia: US providers may not form or service companies for them.

LLC or Delaware C-Corp?

An LLC is simpler and cheaper to run. A C-Corp suits founders who plan to raise venture money, and some accelerators require a Delaware company. A Delaware C-Corp pays a minimum franchise tax of $175 or $400 depending on the method, plus a $50 annual report.

How much does a non-resident LLC cost?

State fees are $110 in Delaware and $100 in Wyoming to form, and the Delaware annual LLC tax is $400 from 2026. Our fee depends on the scope and is named after a short brief.

What reports does a non-resident LLC file?

At a minimum, a foreign-owned single-member LLC files Form 5472 with a pro forma 1120 by 15 April, on paper or by fax; missing it costs $25,000 per form. Since August 2026 companies formed in the US no longer file BOI reports.

Can I open a US bank account as a non-resident?

Yes, some US banks and fintechs accept companies with non-resident owners. Mercury, for example, doesn't list Kazakhstan among prohibited countries but won't accept a registered agent's address as the business address. No bank guarantees approval.

How does the money get back to Kazakhstan?

Through a contract between the US company and your Kazakh LLP. If the contract exceeds $50,000 it needs a registration number from the Kazakh bank, and export proceeds must come back on time or a court can fine 20% of the amount.
